May I Have A Piece Of Your Time

Another Mother’s Day has passed us by. I hope everyone spent time with their mother by gifting her with your presence, a phone call, a card, or even an e-mail.

I realize that many may not have been able to because of various life reasons.

Everything has  repercussions………..good or bad. I was the oldest of four and left home many years ago, never looking back with ideas, plans, goals, and hopes. We all experience bumps in the road to where  we are going. When we look back at what we have accomplished and missed, we only then realize that time waits for no one.

We are told that we must make sacrifices to obtain what we want in life. We move forward through life not letting anything stand in our way only focussing on the horizon.

We adopt the mindset that ultimately if we work hard enough at achieving our dream we will succeed and be set for life. These dreams may be having children and watching them grow, loving someone you grow older with, or achieving wealth and a comfortable retirement.

We can become so rapped up in what we want and long term plans that we miss out on the journey. Included in that journey are friends, loved ones, relationships, parents, and children.

In relationships we can become so preoccupied wondering if they are the right one or how long this one will last that we never fully enjoy the special moments.

Nothing, including life, is guaranteed to last forever. Everything eventually ends.

Try to take something away from everyday. No matter what aspect of our life it involves. Spend less time dwelling on your destination and start enjoying the journey. Cherish the good times.

Try to just sit back and  enjoy the moment.

Give someone a piece of your time………………
